A visit to The Savill Garden, plus an escorted tour of the historic Royal Estate at Windsor Great Park with a rare opportunity to take photos at the top of Long Walk.

This limited availability tour will combine a visit to The Savill Garden and at tour of Windsor Great Park.

 

Since its creation in the 1930s, The Savill Garden has been an inspiration for all. This natural haven of beautifully designed gardens and woodland can be enjoyed by everyone, from dedicated horticulturists to those who just want to spend a relaxing day out with family or friends.

 

The 35 acres of interconnected gardens include the Hidden Gardens, Spring Wood, the Summer Gardens, the New Zealand Garden, Summer Wood, The Glades, Autumn Wood and the Winter Beds.

 

 

Afterwards we will emback the coach and be escorted by one of The Crown Estates dedicated team on board through the historic Royal Estate.

 

Your Windsor Great Park tour will allow you to understand how Windsor Great Park works in the modern day, as well as learning about its long history. During the tour, which lasts approximately 1 hour, to 11/2 hours you will discover:

 

  • Coronation Groves – planted to commemorate the coronations of King George VI and Her Majesty The Queen

  • The famous veteran oaks and The Deer Park

  • Royal Equestrian Statues

  • The Guards Polo Club founded by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh

  • The Royal School, founded by Queen Victoria

  • The Estate Village

     

And to finish off, the rare opportunity to disembark from your coach at the top of the iconic Long Walk, giving you time to take a photo from The Copper Horse statue of George III to the historic Windsor Castle.
