Christmas at Longleat

The UK’s original, biggest and most exciting lantern festival, is returning to Longleat! This year, The Festival of Light promises to be even more extraordinary than ever as you step into The Wondrous Worlds of Roald Dahl.

There will be hundreds of lanterns, set in over 30 acres of splendid ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped grounds. Prepare to be amazed as the winter sun sets and Longleat transforms into a breath-taking illuminated world. Marvel at the 20 metre tall tree as it sings your favourite carols for a spectacular display of light and 3D mapped projections within the Stable Yard, including flurries of snow!

It may be getting chilly outside but you can still enjoy our immersive six-and-a-half-mile Safari Drive-through. The Safari is well worth a visit during the Winter as lots of animals will still be out and about. Our tigers and lions, in particular, who are partial to a catnap in the sunshine, are often much more active in cooler weather.

All aboard for the North Pole! A trip on our Santa Train is the perfect way to make this Christmas extra magical. Journey past the stunning Half Mile Lake before disembarking at North Pole Halt; an enchanting snow-covered winter wonderland. 

During the day, you can also enjoy all of Longleat’s animal and adventure attractions, including the Safari Park, Koala Creek, Jungle Kingdom, Jungle Cruise and the ever-popular Adventure Castle.
